A classic "Big Cab," the grapes for our '05 Cabernet Sauvignon were grown on our Home Ranch. The vines are located in the farthest block on the eastern bench, nearest the foothills, and the wine's rich flavor reflects the low-yields from those rocky, clay soils.
Tasting Notes
Surprisingly approachable now and a terrific match for your favorite meals, this wine has plenty of firm tannins, bright acidity, a velvety mouthfeel and those delicious yet subtle nuances of a full-flavored Cabernet. The aromas of cedar and forest floor mingle with a bright and spicy cherry essence. The silken texture cradles flavors of rich black cherry, spice, cedar and hints of dark chocolate. We find this wine easy to sip and tough to set down!
